The question that most are probably wondering is when did you actually realize you could selfsuck...I mean the actual moment, or was it a gradual process?
In high school, I used to stretch for track. I know I thought of it at the time, but I was sure I couldn't reach, and I was homophobic so I never did try. The thoughts went something like, "Hmm... ew." (laugh) When I was 33, a coworker and I were having a conversation about porn. She mentioned Ron Jeremy and how she'd seen a video of him self sucking and she thought it wasn't a pretty sight. (Ron, not the act itself.) Of course, like everyone else, I went, NO WAY, that can't be done. I went home and did a search and came across www.solosuck.com and thought, now that I've got to try.
Looking at your photography, I visualize a photographer taking time to adjust lighting, frame the subject, manipulate a pose and then shoot. Is the photographer you or do you employ someone else's services?
Yeah, I can take my own pictures, too! You just described my whole process: I set it up, take a bunch of test shots, and once I get the lighting and angles right I set it on a timer to go off every minute. I have an audio warning to let me know that it is about to shoot and then I pose. I would love to have a professional photographer take my photos.
Do you shoot primarily digital and what equipment do you use?
I am currently only shooting digital. I use a Minolta Dimage 7i 5.0 megapixel. As for lighting, I don't have any professional equipment yet. I would like to starting using my 35mm but I am waiting until I have my darkroom ready.
My favorite shot is of you outside, framed by plants. You're standing in silhouette. Was that that a difficult shot to capture?
The most difficult part was running back and forth, in the nude, in an old abandoned barn--did I mention I was running back and forth in the nude a lot?--meanwhile getting stung by a scorpion and hoping the farmer who owns the place doesn't show up. (laugh)
Who inspires you, I don't mean other photographers, but anyone in the arts or in general.
I want to say someone like Spencer Tunick inspires me but he is only a small part of my inspiration. What really inspired me to pick up the camera again is all the great photography out on the net. There are a lot of amazing, great amateur and professional photographers out there. As for autofellatio, Al Eingang inspired me. Being the subject of your own art alleviates the need for finding willing, ready and able models. Do you think you will shoot other men who perform autofellatio?
I hope so. I've been asked to shoot for other selfers and I plan to. There are many self suckers who are much more talented than me and they need to have their skills photographed. If I thought I could afford it I would love to travel and photograph autofellatoists and put together a book.
Most people don't know that women can also perform autocunnilingus. Does it take more effort or even a double-jointed body to do so.
You mean to tell me that women can perform autocunnilingus? I have been searching for a long time for proof of that. I belong to a couple of groups on the internet who are also searching for it. We as a collective have yet to find any proof. I am positive that it can be done because if I were a woman I could reach. But yet there aren't any photographs out there other than some altered ones. You say that very few people have seen you do this in person. Why do you choose to peform this sexual contortion alone but at the same time share it through photography?
I really like to share my ability. I do perform it on myself in private but I prefer to share. Photography is a great medium to show off especially when you want to hide your identity from the general public. As an exhibitionist who is well known in his community, it is important to me to keep this secret. (laugh) An anonymous exhibitionist. I love it.
Seldom do you see autofellatio in porn, perhaps in some gay porn, but very rarely if ever in straight porn. The topic is not even talked about by those media sexperts. What's your take on this mindset of taboo, or is it
just a lack of knowing about autofellatio?
I'm not one to rent gay porn but if you do want to see self sucking on film it seems that is the only place you can find it. I think it's taboo in our society because it comes off as a homoerotic act. We live in a real homophobic society and the act of autofellatio appears to be gay by your average straight man and woman.
Kinsey reported that only a small percentage of men are capable of performing autofellatio, I think 2% of the population. I think if men knew about it more and they wouldn't stigmatize it as being gay, 30 to 50% could be capable of it if they would start stretching and practicing yoga. Think of the ramifications on world peace!
I love performance art. Would you ever consider performing in a gallery while your photos are on display?
I never thought about performing in that type of situation. Yes, I probably would do it. I've been asked to perform at a local swinger's club but I had to turn it down--because it was a local swinger's club, and I am, after all, an anonymous exhibitionist. (laugh)
You maintain anonymity, never showing your face in your prints. Why?
I used to perform on webcam with a disguise. I would capture my shows and find that it to be really mysterious not seeing who I am, yet still being able to see what I am doing. So I started using that in my photography and I think it adds a lot to my pictures.
I live in what is known as the buckle of the Bible Belt. (The south in general is know as that) I am well known in my small town and I have children who would be chastised and alienated if their father ever came out.
What part of the country do you live and shoot? It seems you live in an idyllic place where you can sometimes shoot outdoors.
I live in Texas which has alot of space and nice weather to be able to shoot outside without being caught.
Is it difficult to capture yourself having an orgasm while selfsucking, and for that matter have you ever done so?
I have yet to capture myself in a photograph having an orgasm. It is really hard to time it just right when you are photographing yourself.
Dispel one big myth that many reading this probably believe: Only experienced yogis, contortionists or the double-jointed can selfsuck.
When I decided to start stretching and researching yoga to self suck I was 33 y/o. I never found myself super flexible. I think almost anyone who has the desire to perform autofellato on oneself they can achieve that goal. It takes years, but it's so cool when you finally get there.
Your site is sensual, artistic and yet mysterious. Is this what you aimed or when constructing it?
Thank you for such fine compliments. Yes, the mystery of it is what I was aiming for. The elusive quality and the rarity of the act is what draws a lot of people to my site.
